Christianity is a monotheistic religion, meaning that they believe in only one god. God is seen as the eternal and supreme being that created and preserves the world. Christians believe God is eternally existing (without beginning or end), omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), benevolent (all-loving) omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time), and immortal (self- existing and everlasting).
Although the true nature of God is beyond human experience and understanding the Christian idea of God is shown in the belief of the Trinity: God is One in three peoples: the Father and savior, the son who is Jesus, and the holy spirit who is God in the world.
In Christianity God is also patriarchal, meaning God is male dominated
and referred to as "He" all though the bible does not specify whether God is male or female.
